Iranian athlete won the gold medal in women’s 60m at the 10th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Iran PressAsia: Farzaneh Fasihi clocked 7.28 seconds to finish first among Hamideh Esmailnezhad, another representative from Iran, as well as competitors from Kazakhstan, Indonesia, India, Kuwait, and Turkmenistan.

Esmailnezhad clocked 7.48 seconds and finished seventh.

Fatemeh Mohitizadeh, another female athlete from the Iranian national team, gained 3,835 scores and finished seventh in the women’s pentathlon.

The Asian Indoor Athletics Championships has been running since 2004. Run by the Asian Athletics Association, the championships take place biennially in different cities all over Asia.
