Iran Press/ Asia: On Sunday 7 March, some Indian media outlets made an allegation against Iran that it had been involved in a bombing and explosion in front of the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.
On January 29, an improvised explosive device exploded about 50 meters from the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, damaging several vehicles but not damaging the embassy and left no casualties.
Referring to the suspicious explosion in New Delhi on January 29, the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a statement on its Twitter account said that this incident led to a deliberate, unjust attack and baseless accusations against Iran.
The statement added: "While respecting the Government and the Indian authorities in its efforts to thoroughly investigate and investigate the incident in order to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, the Embassy strongly rejects any baseless allegations or irresponsible comments in this regard.
The Iranian Embassy stated that such measures are not in the interest of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding: At a time when the long-standing and cordial relations between Iran and India are being further strengthened and developed in all areas, including in the form of contacts between the two countries' high-ranking political, economic, security and defense delegations, the question which must be considered is that what would be the benefit of the suspicious explosion for bilateral relations and who really benefits from this action."
The statement from the Iranian Embassy in India continued: "The Iranian government and people have never started a war, yet they are brave defenders who, following the principle of legitimate defense, have made the aggressors, the instigators, the terrorists and their supporters, regretful".
