Iran Press/ Asia: A large number of Muslims and followers of other divine religions in recent years, from a few days left to the 40th day of martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), have been marching from the city of Najaf, as well as other Iraqi cities, to his holy shrine in Karbala.
Arbaeen Hosseini's departure to Karbala has begun in recent days and will peak on Arbaeen in a few days.
Iranian Interior Minister Ahmadi Vahidi arrived in Baghdad today (Thursday) to investigate the situation of Arbaeen pilgrimage and coordinate with Iraqi officials and meet with his Iraqi counterpart.
Vahidi, referring to consultations with the Iraqi side to solve the problem of Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims from other countries, said: "The Iraqi government has accepted that pilgrims would travel through Iran's borders based on licenses issued by Iran."
In this regard, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul announced on Thursday that it would issue a pilgrimage visa with twice entry through land borders as soon as the Iraqi government was ready to accept Afghan pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Interior Minister's adviser has announced that Iraq has agreed Pakistani and Pakistani pilgrims to arrive from the Shalamcheh border for the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
