The head of Iran's National Defense University Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam met with the Iraqi Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Command.

Iran PressIran news: The head of Iran's National Defense University, Ahmadi Moqaddam, in continuation of his trip to Iraq, visited the headquarters of the Iraqi border guard on Wednesday morning. 

In the meeting, Lieutenant General Mohammad Abdul Wahab, the head of Iraq's Border Guard Headquarters, presented explanations about the shared water and land borders with Iran, as well as the customs of Iran and Iraq, military training, and follow-up for the training of border guards with the police of the Islamic Republic of Iran at high levels.

General Ahmadi Moghadam also visited the Control Center, appreciating the Iraqi border guards for their hospitality and services towards the Iranian pilgrims.

Also, the Head of Iran's National Defense University Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam met with Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shimmari on Sunday to discuss bilateral cooperation in training and strategic research.

Ahmadi Moqaddam, leading a high-ranking delegation, traveled to Iraq upon Al-Shimmari's official invitation. The two officials agreed on a practical framework for cooperation in defense areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, Ahmadi Moqaddam also reached agreements with Iraqi high-ranking officials on further collaboration in these fields. As part of their trip to Iraq, the Iranian delegation is expected to visit different parts of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.

In October, Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam visited Oman to meet with Major General Hamid Ahmed Said Sakroun, who oversees Oman's Strategic and Defense Studies Academy. Following that visit, Ahmed Salim Mohamed Baomar led an Omani delegation to Iran, and they arrived on December 17. 219
