Iran Press/ Iran News: On Saturday evening, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a telephone call with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, while strongly condemning the desecration to the Holy Quran in the countries of Sweden and Denmark, called for an urgent meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran considered the insult to the Holy Quran to be the cause of hurting the feelings of Muslims all over the world and stressed the need to deal seriously with the perpetrators of this insult.
Amir Abdollahian also mentioned his recent trip to the UAE as very good and productive meetings and negotiations with high-ranking officials of this country, and noted the adoption of the necessary arrangements for the implementation of the agreements made.
Iran's diplomatic service chief considered the security of the Persian Gulf region important for the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated that the countries of the region can ensure the security of the region without foreign interference.
Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, also strongly condemned the desecration of the holy books, religions and religious beliefs and welcomed the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran to hold a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states.
Referring to the mutual visits of the officials of the two countries, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE assessed the recent visit of Amir- Abdollahian to the UAE as a very important trip and called for the development of bilateral cooperation in all fields.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE's attention to solving the problems of Iranians living in the UAE and solving the problems of Iranian schools and hospitals within the framework of existing regulations.
