Iran Press/Iran news: Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli in a letter to his Pakistani counterpart Shehryar Afridi, called for undertaking security commitments in the face of terrorist mobs and doing all in power in line with releasing kidnapped Iranian border guards.
Recalling abduction of 14 Iranian border guards by terrorist mobs, he called on the country to prevent terrorist acts against Iranian territory and attacking border checkpoints, IRNA reported.

On Tuesday ,the IRGC has confirmed that 14 Baseej (volunteers) and border guards were kidnapped by a terrorist group on Tuesday morning. The incident happened about 50 kilometers from the town of MirJaveh in Balouchestan of southeastern Iran, very close to the border with Pakistan.
Stressing that Iran will resolutely deal with terrorist groups and outlaws, Rahmani Fazli said that all the efforts should be focused on preventing recurrence of such bitter incidents.
“Within the framework of bilateral relations and principle of good neighborliness as well as security commitments of the countries, undertaking joint works until achieving result is urgently essential,” he said.
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also in a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, discussed the fate of the border forces of Iran, who had been abducted by terrorist groups at the border crossing point and taken to Pakistan.

On the same day, Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi urged Pakistan government to take necessary steps to locate and release kidnapped Iranian border guards, and also arresting and punishing the terrorists responsible for the kidnapping.
Further more, on Wednesday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari warned kidnappers of the Iranian border guards of upcoming crushing response.
