Dushanbe (IP)- Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan held a talk with the Tajik Minister of Education and Science, stressing educational cooperation between the two countries.

Iranian and Tajik sides stressed the cooperation between the two countries, exchanging views on developing educational, research, scientific, and technological ties.

Faculty and student exchanges, holding joint scientific and technological exhibitions, presenting the outstanding works of professors and scholars of the two countries, holding joint student and Olympiads camps, holding scientific, literary, and cultural seminars on topics of interest in the scientific and academic assemblies of Iran and Tajikistan, using study opportunities were among the terms of discussions in the meeting.

Saberi referred to the existing commonalities and capacities of cooperation between the two countries in research, education, science, and technology and stressed Iran's willingness to boost ties with the Republic of Tajikistan.

He highlighted Iran's readiness to transfer experiences to Tajikistan in establishing and managing a science and technology park, standardizing the educational environment, holding teacher training courses, and improving human resources and technical and professional training.

The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Saidzod welcomed the issues raised in the meeting and announced his country's readiness to develop bilateral ties in the mentioned topics with Iran.

Tajikistan was recognized for its independence by Iran early on, and Iran was the pioneer in establishing an embassy in Dushanbe. The Islamic Republic of Iran has the closest connection with Tajikistan due to both nations' shared historical, cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds.
Tajikistan holds a significant place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has described the relationship between the two countries as "kinship relations."
