Iran Press/Iran News: The conference was attended by officials from Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the Organization for Trade Development, the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce, as well as Syria's ambassador to Iran, Adnan Mahmoud.
Mahmoud said at the conference that Damascus was ready to provide facilities to both the public and private sectors of Iran to take part in joint venture projects in Syria.
Mahmoud added: "There are many investment opportunities, including housing, infrastructure, the recovery of the Syrian economy and factories, the supply of raw materials needed by the factories as well as the activation of a Free Trade Agreement between Tehran and Damascus."
Meanwhile, the head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Hamid Zadbom said at the Conference that the capabilities of Iranian engineering firms are substantial and can help Damascus with its reconstruction efforts.
