Iran Press/ Asia: Iran's Ambassador Mehdi Sobhani added at the opening ceremony of the "Armenia-Iran: Cooperation and New Horizons" conference in Kapan, southwest of Armenia, that the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizing its principled positions in support of Armenia's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, welcomes the country's efforts to establish friendly relations with its neighboring countries.
Sobhani called the border of Armenia and Iran a "border of friendship" and said that Tehran is determined to use all opportunities to expand trade and increase political, economic, and cultural relations in bilateral relations with a bright future.
Emphasizing the importance of close economic and political relations between Iran and Armenia, Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Karobian said at the opening ceremony of Iran's largest commercial center in Armenia: "This commercial center will play an important role in the expansion of trade between the two countries."
The Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia are two neighboring countries with long historical and cultural backgrounds that always want to expand bilateral relations in various fields.
