Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs on Monday night, announced that soon Iran and Sudan will reopen their embassies after the two countries complete the process of resumption of the relations.

Iran PressIran news: Iran and Sudan agreed on Monday to restore diplomatic relations, both said in a joint statement, seven years after they were severed and three months after a meeting between their foreign ministers.

The two countries issued a joint statement on Monday, which says the resumption of ties follows an agreement on the same days after a long pursuit of the officials from both sides.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two sides agreed to enhance cooperation on different areas which can fulfill the interests of both nations and ensure security and stability in the region.

It also said that the resumption of ties will be based on mutual respect for the sovereignty of each other and will serve mutual interests and peaceful coexistence as well.  

They agreed to take the necessary measures to open embassies in the near future. 219
