Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh wrote on Twitter on Monday: "Concerning images of the clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh are being published, and both sides of the conflict are advised that the goal does not justify the means.”
Khatibzadeh added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not accept the beheading in the style of Takfiris or, on the contrary, cities and innocent people being targeted."
"Both sides must adhere to international law," he said.
More than a week after implementing the ceasefire agreement between Baku and Yerevan at the Moscow summit, the two countries have continued their attacks, accusing each other of targeting civilian areas.
The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region has been tense since September 27, with Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan accusing each other of starting a war.
In this conflict, the Republic of Azerbaijan, relying on the principle of preserving its territorial integrity, has called for an end to Armenia's occupation. On the other hand, the Armenian side has called for recognizing Armenian rights, citing the principle of "right to self-determination."
