IP - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said in Berlin that Iraq helps to push for Iran-Saudi Arabia negotiations and two sides welcomed Baghdad's mediation efforts.

Iran PressMiddle East: Referring to his country's helps to make views of regional countries closer to each other, al-Sudani said in an interview with European media that Iraq is making efforts in this regard, including between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and this is the Iraqi government's method and will reduce the tensions in the region.

Al-Sudani added that this will reflect on the security of Iraq and the entire region.

The Prime Minister of Iraq explained Baghdad has received the response of Iran and Saudi Arabia and will continue this effort until the resumption of meetings (between Iran and Saudi Arabia) in Baghdad soon.

On Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Iranian Foreign Minister confirmed that following 5 rounds of talks with Saudi Arabia in Baghdad, two countries have agreed to open general consular offices in Jedda and Mashhad.
