Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohsen Mir, director of the National Sports Museum of Iran, said: "This museum was introduced as the top museum in the group of medium-sized state museums, taking advantage of the existing potential of the sports sector and observing international standards."
He added: "Although only 2 years have passed since the establishment of the Sports Museum of Iran, with the support of the country's sports community, and champions, we have moved in a direction that meets all international standards."
International Council of Museums(ICOM) has introduced the top museums in 13 indicators on the occasion of Cultural Heritage Day.
The National Sports Museum of Iran has won the top state museums title.
