Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Parliament convened a meeting behind closed doors on Sunday morning for a discussion on the latest development after the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, former political bureau chief of Hamas who was killed in Tehran on July 30.

Iran Press/Iran news: On Saturday, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corpse in a statement released new details on the July 31 assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh.

According to IRGC's Investigation Haniyeh was assassinated by a short-range projectile fired at his accommodation place in Tehran.

Iran’s Parliament on Sunday's morning held a closed session on Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination.

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau was in Tehran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezashkian.

Also today the national security and foreign policy committee of the parliament is supposed to hold a meeting to investigate the dimensions of the event and Iran’s possible response to this crime, with the presence of IRGC commanders and security officials.
