Tehran(IP) - The Iranian Parliament's Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada has called for the expulsion of Israel from the UN Human Rights Council.

Iran PressIran News: Qatari-based news Agency, 'Al-Jazeera' Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot dead by Israeli security forces during news coverage of the events and clashes in the Jenin camp.

The killing of a Palestinian-American journalist has provoked widespread reactions in the media.

According to Iran Press, The Iranian Parliament's Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, in response to the killing of this Palestinian-Christian journalist, Israel "targeted humanity under the umbrella of American support."

"The Zionist enemy proved to the world that the opinion of this regime knows no difference between Muslims and Christians and followers of other religions, and this regime has targeted humanity under the umbrella of American support, the statement read.

The statement added: "By the martyrdom of this defenseless Palestinian brave woman, the bloodthirsty Zionists showed that they are humiliated, cruel and brutal. They violate international principles and customs and human rights with the utmost impudence.

In its statement, the Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada of Iran's parliament has invited all parliaments of the world to consider the expulsion of the "racist Israeli regime from the UN Human Rights Council."
