Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Parliament Speaker Larijani, at a meeting with the EU's High Representative, criticized the US withdrawal from international deals and the EU's poor stance towards it, saying that Tehran is ready to help solve regional problems.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Larijani made the remarks on Monday evening at a meeting with the EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell in Tehran.

Maintenance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), regional issues, as well as the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking were the major topics that were reviewed by the two sides during their meeting.

Borell, for his part, offered his condolences over the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, voicing EU’s readiness for cooperation with Iran to solve bilateral and regional issues.

Top EU diplomat Josep Borrell arrived in Tehran on Monday on his first trip to the Islamic Republic since taking office. Borrell met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
