Iran PressIran News: Malek Shariati Niasar pointed to the difficulties that Iran faced selling its oil two or three years ago and reiterated that oil revenues have soared under President Raisi's administration.

Furthermore, the current administration has promoted energy diplomacy by expanding relations with neighboring states and other countries in this sector and has sustainably supplied fuel at a time when domestic consumption has increased sharply, the parliament member continued.

Shifting to the budget deficit and its connection with oil revenues, the member of the Parliament’s Energy Committee said Iran did not face a budget deficit in 2022 and will not face it this year as a considerable portion of the budget deficit has been compensated by oil revenues.
