Iran Press/ Iran news: As tensions escalated in the Ukraine war, the West led by the United States has been making anti-Iranian, baseless claims which Tehran has decisively rejected each time.
While the United States has sent about 18 billion dollars of military equipment to Ukraine since the beginning of the Ukraine war, it has been accusing Iran of sending drones to Russia in the Ukraine war for a long time, which has been strongly denied by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba exchanged views on the latest developments related to the Ukraine crisis and bilateral issues.
Referring to the claims made regarding the use of Iranian drones in the war in Ukraine, Amir-Abdollahian, while strongly rejecting this claim, said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has experienced an eight-year imposed war and is therefore against the war in Ukraine, Yemen and elsewhere."
Iranian top diplomat pointed out: "We have good relations with Russia and have had defense cooperation in the past, but our policy towards the war in Ukraine is to respect the territorial integrity of countries, not to send weapons to the conflicting parties while trying to help stop the war and end the displacement of people."
Amir-Abdollahian further said: "The foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is completely clear and based on a single standard and opposing to war."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized: "Tehran is ready to hold technical meetings with the presence of military experts between the two countries without the need for any intermediary."
Also, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told his Ukrainian counterpart that Tehran is ready to mediate ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine.
