Tehran (IP) - Iran's Red Crescent deputy announced that the recent flood victims reached 93 killed, and six others are still missing.

Iran PressIran news: Morteza Moradipour, deputy of Iran's Red Crescent Society, stated: "Unfortunately, six people are still missing, and the Red Crescent along with other organizations, are searching for the bodies."

The recent floods started on July 23 and affected 24 out of 31 provinces across Iran in a week.

The most affected provinces are East Azerbaijan, Isfahan, Alborz, Bushehr, Tehran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, South Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, Khuzestan, Zanjan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Fars, Qazvin, Qom, Kerman, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Golestan, Lorestan, Mazandaran, Central Hormozgan and Hamadan.

According to the Head of Iran's Crisis Management Organization, Mohammad Hassan Nami, Tehran province had the highest death toll rate due to floods, and Kerman, Yazd, Mazandaran, Markazi, Sistan and Balouchestan, and Lorestan provinces come next, respectively.  

More than 20,000 houses were also destroyed due to floods, 12,000 homes need repairing, and nearly 8,000 should be rebuilt completely.
