Tehran (IP) – Iran's minister of roads and urban development said Iran's East-West Transit Corridor, part of the famed Silk Road, would increase cargo handling capacity by at least 5 times.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of Sunday's cabinet meeting and responding to Iran Press' question regarding Iran's East-West Transit Corridor, Mohammad Eslami stated: "We needed to choose a shorter route that would be more economical, and we could increase its cargo capacity."

He said the corridor would increase cargo handling capacity by at least 5 times.
