The Iranian Deputy Chairman of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Kamal Dehqani Firouzabadi

Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the National Security Commission of Parliament praised the measures of the diplomatic apparatus and the armed forces as 'effective' in restoring security and enhancing the country's international authority in the region.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian Deputy Chairman of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Kamal Dehqani Firouzabadi said that the measures of the diplomatic apparatus and Iran's armed forces are 'effective' in establishing security and enhancing Iran's international authority in the region, reported Iran press.

Firouzabadi noted on Sunday that today if Iran has influence in the region, it is because of the Leader’s guidance, the support of the people and the success of the diplomatic apparatus and the armed forces in their respective roles.

The MP stressed that diplomatic apparatus and armed forces complement each other's work.

"Iran has influence in the region and our enemies are opposed to it. Now the situation has become in a way that countries in the region have noticed the negative consequences of the dependency policy and the implementation of US and Israeli plans," the parliamentarian went on to say.

The MP described the government's actions in diplomacy as a successful one and characterized the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action known as JCPOA as an example of successful diplomacy, stating that Iran's performance was right about the JCPOA, but the other side performed poorly.

"If it did not succeed it was because of the unilateral withdrawal of the United States. It was contrary to norm and international law, and this move promoted Iran's credibility in the international community and exposed the unreliability of Americans in the most obvious way," he added.

The MP referred to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s sanction by the US as an indication of the success of Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the IRGC in the areas that were present, saying that the diplomatic apparatus should be given opportunity to resolve problems and their actions should be trusted.

Firouzabadi described the problems in the region as a result of foreign interference and added that the countries of the region can work together to solve the problems.

He continued that the presence of foreign elements has not only caused problems but has also exacerbated them. 212/ 207
