Tehran(IP)- The Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics stated that Tehran could deal with the theft of Iran's oil by the United States on a larger scale.

Iran PressIran news: In response to the theft of Iranian oil and its evacuation by the United States, Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani stated: "This act is a theft by the United States, which is not accepted in the world in any way. If something like this happens, we will definitely fight and we can take even more extensive action, but for now we have limited our action to the discussions we are following."

He stated that we expect the Americans to stop these actions and not embarrass themselves further, adding: "We have a strategic and very important location. The energy transmission lines pass through this region and we have control over these lines, so if we want to do a larger countermeasure against America, it is possible for us."

The US Department of Justice confirmed on September 17, after 19 months, that it had seized the tanker carrying Iranian oil named "Suez Rajan." The New York Times recently wrote in a report that Washington, after American companies refused to release the seized Iranian oil cargo, released it under pressure from Congress on the pretext that Iran was allegedly smuggling this oil to China.

The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, described America's actions as contradictory at the same time as the tanker was unloaded and said that Tehran had summoned the Swiss ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard. He emphasized that these actions of Washington are entirely unproductive, and Iran has expressed its strong protest to the senior diplomat of Switzerland in Tehran.
