(IP) - The head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour attended the 9th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum as a representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressEurope: The Forum started with the slogan of United Cultures Assembly with the presence of representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran and some other countries.

The three-day Forum will be held with ministers of culture, deputy ministers, and heads of cultural organizations of more than 30 countries.

Through a message inviting countries to the Forum, Russia's Putin said: it is time for a serious dialogue with Russia's partners in the BRICS group, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and other countries, regarding the future of culture in the region and the world and the preservation and promotion of the world's cultural heritage.

 Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, said about the Forum that culture will always be the basis of dialogue and communication between countries, peoples, and different worldviews.

The main goal of the Forum is to find ways to overcome differences of opinion and converge them in the field of culture and discover constructive capacities, strengthen relations, and mutual cultural enrichment.

Within the framework of the forum, cultural figures and representatives of countries will discuss topics such as 'Knowledge of history through culture,' 'Is artificial intelligence a threat or a blessing for culture?' and 'Traditional culture as the foundation of building a civilized society.'
