Iran Press/ Iran News: The European Troika (UK, France, Germany), as members of the JCPOA agreement, in a Saturday statement accused Iran of having no credible use of uranium metal.
Iran's Atomic Energy Organization responded on Saturday to the troika that the organization has not yet provided the Agency with the information on the design questionnaire for the metal uranium plant subject to Article 4 of the International Atomic Energy Law, which, of course, will be done after the necessary measures are taken, within the appropriate time and deadline set by law.
The advanced fuel production program (silicide) as presented in the recent report of the International Atomic Energy Agency was first presented to the Agency more than two years ago, and during the period, additional information and finally the design information questionnaire (DIQ) was sent to the Agency in several stages, the statement added.
The statement also stated that in the early 2000s (Persian calendar), in a report submitted to the IAEA at the time, research and development on the production of metal uranium for peaceful and conventional uses on a basic and law level was carried out successfully.
The statement expressed hope that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) avoid unnecessary details in its reports to prevent shaping misunderstandings.
in their Saturday statement, the European troika said: "We strongly urge Iran to halt this activity, and return to compliance with its JCPOA commitments without further delay if it is serious about preserving the deal".
The E3 maintained that the production of metal uranium by Iran has potentially grave military implications, without mentioning the fact that the European party fulfilled none of its commitments to the internationally signed agreement.
