Moscow (IP): Iran's Vice President and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the head of the Russian Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom held talks on developing peaceful nuclear cooperation.

Iran PressEurope: During the event, which was held with Iran's ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali in attendance, Mohammad Eslami and Alexey Likhachev discussed the topics of mutual interests in the field of Nuclear Energy.

While stressing that Iran and Russia have strategic ties and cooperate about the different issues, the two sides declared that they are trying to follow the cooperation on peaceful nuclear energy at a more rapid pace.

Referring to the deep and strategic relations between Tehran and Moscow in various bilateral and international arenas, Eslami said: "Cooperation between the two countries in the field of peaceful nuclear activities, including the construction and development of nuclear power plants, is progressing well and this cooperation should be expanded."

The Iranian Vice President expressed hope that the two sides would strengthen and accelerate cooperation through these talks.

Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom, also welcomed the deepening of bilateral relations, especially in peaceful nuclear energy. 

Mohammad Eslami, Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, arrived in Moscow on Tuesday morning on an official visit.
