Tehran (IP) - Alexander Grushko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, who traveled to Tehran to consult on bilateral issues of interest, met with the Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: In this meeting, a wide range of regional and international issues were discussed, including developments in Ukraine, Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan, and Syria and cooperation between the two countries in regional and international forums.

In this meeting, the Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani considered the cooperation between Iran and Russia regarding matters of regional and international interest to be important, and he considered it necessary to increase the interactions between the two countries to ensure peace and stability in the region and the governance of multilateralism.

Ali Bagheri Kani also emphasized the necessity of continued cooperation between Iran and Russia with other independent countries to secure national interests and counter discriminatory and unilateral approaches.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia also emphasized the importance of multilateralism in the world and the development of cooperation between independent countries.

Alexander Grushko, while criticizing the misuse of issues such as freedom, democracy and human rights by Western countries, emphasized the necessity of the rule of law in interactions between countries.
