Iran Press/ Iran news: Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Russia, said in an interview with "Russia 24" channel: Two countries are discussing the possibility of establishing a joint shipping company.
According to Jalali, along with the development of the ports of Iran and Russia, the shipping fleet between the two countries should also be strengthened, and it is necessary to establish a joint shipping company between the two sides.
This Iranian diplomat stated that in his recent meeting with Andrey Belousov, the first deputy prime minister of Russia, he discussed the expansion of maritime cooperation, and the Russian authorities welcomed the establishment of a joint shipping company.
Iran's ambassador to Russia elsewhere said: "With the development of ports and their connection to the rail network, the potential of transporting goods by sea between the two countries will increase."
Iran and Russia share strategic interests in bilateral fields, especially economic, military and security relations, as well as regional and international issues such as confronting American unilateralism, and this has been one of the main factors of close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.
