Moscow (IP)- Iran's ambassador to Kabul said that the common views of Iran and Russia on Afghanistan provide a good opportunity for regional convergence.

Iran PressEurope:  Hassan Kazemi Qomi is the ambassador of Iran to Afghanistan and the Iranian president's special envoy on Afghanistan affairs.

He stated in an interview with the Iran press correspondent in Moscow: "Fortunately, Iran and Russia have a common point of view on the fight against terrorism, the fight against the occupation, the destructive policies of the occupier, and the fact that Afghanistan will be a transit corridor for the countries of the region in the future, and the reconstruction of Afghanistan."

Iran's ambassador to Afghanistan stressed: "In the regional meeting in Moscow about Afghanistan, there was a common view to encouraging the Taliban to form an inclusive government."

Kazemi Qomi said that the neighboring countries should help for stability and security as well as the development and reconstruction of Afghanistan.

The Iranian ambassador to Kabul further stated that the main solution to Afghanistan's problems is internal and at the same time regional cooperation.

Kazemi Qomi emphasized that the US and its allies' policies in Afghanistan for twenty years showed that they were not looking for stability and security, and the continuation of insecurity and the spread of terrorism was the goal of these countries.
