Iran Press/ Iran news: Reza Malekzadeh, Deputy Minister of Health of Iran and a member of the Executive Committee for the Study of the World Health Organization for COVID-19 (Solidarity Clinical Trial for COVID-19 Treatments), said that in the meantime, Iran, by registering 3,500 patients, has succeeded in gaining the first rank in the 'number of patients participating' in the clinical trial study of the World Health Organization for the treatment of the disease.
Malekzadeh added: France, as the second rank in the study, has managed to register less than a thousand participating patients.
The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari announced in her presser on Sunday that so far, 530,380 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 427,400 of the total infected people have recovered.
The overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped 39.8 million, while the deaths have soared to more than 1,112,530, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
