Doha (IP) - The governors of the central banks of Iran and Qatar recently met in Doha to discuss ways to enhance monetary, banking, and financial cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammad Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CBI), and Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank, emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations to develop exchanges.

During their meeting, Farzin called for increased banking relations between Tehran and Doha, highlighting the economic capacities and commercial cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that with improved monetary and banking relations, trade volume would significantly increase.

To achieve their economic and commercial goals, both central bank governors emphasized investment facilitation platforms and the use of facilitating companies in monetary and banking domains. Sheikh Bandar also noted that there are many opportunities to increase exchanges between Iran and Qatar by utilizing their monetary and banking relations.

Overall, this meeting highlights a growing interest in enhancing financial cooperation between Iran and Qatar.
