Dr. AbolGhassemi added: "This drug is notably digestive and the patients' compliance is much higher with this pill compared with previous medications. Iran became the first country in the world, after the main producer of the medicine, to mass produce the medication for Thalassemia sufferers."
Asked to comment on the possibility of exporting the drug, Dr. AbolGhassemi said: "Given that Iran is just the second country in the world to manufacture this medicine, the prospects for exporting this drug are excellent".
For the first time Iranian biotechnology and nano-researchers have succeeded in producing 'Nanojade', a medicine which gets rid of excess iron in the human body.
'Nanojade' can be eaten in doses of 90, 180 or 360 milligrams by patients suffering from Thalassemia.
'Nanojade' is produced by 'Nano Hayat Darou', an Iranian biotechnology firm which produces pharmaceutical medicines and specialises in nanomedicine.
