Niamey (IP) – After the coup in Niger, anti-French and US rallies and demonstrations continue in Niamey, the capital of Niger.

Iran PressAfrica: According to Iran Press correspondent in Niamey, hundreds of Nigeriens gathered in front of the National Assembly building on Thursday after demonstrations in the streets of Niger's capital.

Demonstrators chanted slogans against these two Western countries and underlined that Niger should be truly independent.

Rejecting the West African Community sanctions against their country, the Nigerien protesters demanded the immediate withdrawal of French troops and the French ambassador from Niger.

The people of Niger emphasized in the rally in front of the National Assembly in Niamey that the intervention of the imperialism of France, the United States, and the European Union has destroyed the complete independence of Niger.
