In the first joint consular meeting of Iran and Oman, the parties emphasized the continuation of the consular dialogues of the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: The first joint consular meeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman was held on Monday in Tehran chaired by the Director-General of Consular Affairs of Iran's Foreign Ministry and the Omanese Director-General of Consular Affairs.

In this meeting, while emphasizing the continuation of consular talks, the two sides welcomed the expansion of relations and negotiated over Iranian nationals in Oman, release of Iranian prisoners and solving the problems of some Omani nationals in Iran.

Also, signing agreements on the transfer of convicts between the two countries, issues of facilitating the movement of nationals and consular support were discussed. The two sides also emphasized providing more information regarding the rules and regulations on residence, work and foreign exchange amounts with passengers, as well as dealing with the problems of barge, vessel owners.
