Iran press/Asia: "The fundamental principle remains that whatever decision we take will be based on commercial consideration, energy security and our national interest," Spokesperson of Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Raveesh Kumar on Thursday said while addressing the weekly press briefing according to Business Standard.

India, which imports more than 80% of the crude oil it processes, gets about 10% of its supplies from Iran on favourable terms.
US refused to give waivers to countries like India from buying oil from Iran, in an attempt to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of 24th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition on May 1, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh reaffirmed Iran's commitment to export oil, despite US unilateral sanctions and said: "The United States will not be able to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero." 101/205
