Iran Press/Iran News: Hassan Rouhani and Muhyiddin Yassin stressed the importance of speeding up the implementation of the two countries' agreements in the fields of trade and finance in recent years, especially during the former prime minister's tenure, saying that they will spare no effort for deepening and continuing this cooperation, which has been ongoing for many years.
The Iranian President and Malaysian Prime Minister also stressed the importance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the need to maintain the agreement, calling US illegal sanctions against Iran, especially in the current situation, a violation of human rights and saying they would continue to support each other in international communities and oppose sanctions, the official website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran reported.
The two sides also described the outbreak of coronavirus as a global challenge, and said that it was important for Islamic countries to use common potentials to help each other fight the virus.
Rouhani and Yassin said that they are ready to use each other’s experiences in the fight against this disease and to cooperate in providing health and medical items.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also invited the Prime Minister of Malaysia to visit Iran in a proper time.
