Tehran (IP) - The leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, in a meeting with attendees of the 40th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) International Holy Quran Competition, stated that today the most significant problem of the Islamic world is Gaza and emphasized the Islamic world will witness the definite destruction of the cancerous tumor of Zionism.

Iran PressIran news: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has met with a group of attendees of the 40th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) International Holy Quran Competition.

Ayatollah Khamenei referring to the verses of the Holy Qur'an that describe and introduce the Qur'an, stated: "The Qur'an is 'the book of guidance', 'a reminder book that removes neglect' and 'the book of wisdom, light and proof'; and Imam Ali (AS) who is a prominent student of the Quran, calls this heavenly book, the book that revives hearts and cures the great pains of humanity."

Iran's Leader, during this meeting with the participants at the 40th International Qur'an Competition in Tehran on Thursday, called on Muslim countries to openly express their opposition to Israel, sever ties with the regime, and cut off support for it.

Ayatollah Khamenei also called on people in Muslim countries to press their governments to take stronger action on Gaza.

Ayatollah Khamenei described the Palestinians' plight in the Gaza Strip as the most important issue of the Muslim world today, adding: "Certainly, the Muslim world is mourning for Gaza."

 

Iran's Leader emphasized that the resistance forces in Palestine and Gaza are acting following the Holy Qur'an and are standing against the enemy, but wondered whether Muslim countries and their leaders were implementing the Qur'anic teachings regarding the Gaza situation.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the people of Palestine would achieve a victory through God's assistance, noting that the Muslim world would witness the destruction of the "Zionist cancerous tumor" by God's grace.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili also spoke at the event, while some competitors received awards. 219
