The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Kuwait had a telephone conversation and exchanged views regarding the progress of bilateral, regional and international issues, including the recent desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionists and the insulting action of the French magazine.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in this telephone conversation, while condemning the actions of the Zionists regarding the insult and desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, called for the coordination and joint action of the Islamic countries in order to preserve the historical and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque; also, he emphasized on the formation of a legal mechanism in this regard to stop insulting Islamic holy things.

Amir-Abdollahian once again emphasized the need to strengthen regional cooperation in the direction of peace and stability in the region.

He also welcomed the upcoming marine environment meeting known as ROPME hosted by Kuwait.

Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, in this telephone conversation, once again emphasized the firm position of the Kuwaiti government towards the Palestinian issue and strongly condemned the recent actions of the Zionist regime in desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait welcomed the proposal and initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the coordinated action of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to stop the offensive actions of the Zionist regime that endanger peace and stability in the region.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait also pointed to the black history of Charlie Hebdo magazine in insulting the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), while rejecting the insulting action of the French magazine, and considered insulting religious authorities and leaders as an insult to all Muslims.

In this phone call, the parties emphasized on the strengthening of bilateral relations and welcomed the upcoming meeting of the High Commission for Joint Cooperation between the two countries. 219
