Tehran (IP)- In a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i?, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that US sanctions should not be allowed to disrupt the expansion of economic relations between Iran and Serbia

Iran Press/Iran News: In the conversation, Rouhani stressed the importance of developing relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including economic, trade, scientific, and technological.

He also emphasized the comprehensive relations and cooperation between Tehran and Belgrade.

Recalling Iran's plans and successes in dealing with corona, including the production of diagnostic kits by knowledge-based companies, Rouhani added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to transfer scientific and technological experiences and cooperation with Serbia in this regard."

Referring to the common positions on combating unilateralism and the need for greater cooperation between Iran and Serbia in international forums and organizations, the Iranian president said, "People of the two countries have always stood up to foreign intervention to maintain their independence."

The Serbian president Aleksandar Vu?i? said for his part, "Serbia has always opposed sanctions and pressure against Iran and is with the Iranian people."

"Necessary measures should be taken to develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including economic, trade, scientific, cultural, technological, and tourism should be used in the interests of both nations," Aleksandar Vu?i? highlighted.

The Serbian President also praised Iran's independent approach to various international issues, including respect for territorial integrity and the sovereignty of nations and states.
