Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman condemned the recent Saudi attack on a prison in Yemen's western Dhamar province that left 40 dead and 30 others wounded.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Sunday pointed out that the detention center had been identified by the International Red Crescent Movement and it had been visited by its representatives several times, saying that: "The bombardment of this prison is a new war crime added to other crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen," Iran Press reported.

He expressed regret for the killing of Yemeni prisoners, adding that: "These crimes are perpetrated by the military invaders of the US and some Western countries to Yemen and the Yemeni people consider these countries as partners in crime and accountable for those crimes."

The al-Masirah TV channel reported on Sunday that warplanes belonging to the Saudi-led coalition had pounded a jail where prisoners of war were being kept.
