Tehran (IP) - The Secretary of the First International Congress of Audit Code of Ethics stated that although Iran has not experienced the hosting of the Eura Audit International (EAI), the event was recently held in the country successfully.

Iran PressIran news: The Secretary of the First International Congress of Audit Code of Ethics, Narges Abbasi said that Eura Audit International was so far unknown to the Iranian audit and accounting organization and it was last year during the international audit conference in India that the lack of effective relations with EAI was considered the lost link for the efficient participation in the international financial activities.

Abbasi further said that the World Accounting Federation has called on accountants to observe professional ethics in their job along with other financial affairs.

Referring to Iran's efforts to get membership in the EAI, she noted that the organization accepts only one main representative from each country, and the representative can later accept new members.

The code of ethics is not specific to the accounting profession; compliance with the code of ethics will make all businesses benefit from its numerous points in the short and long term, she said.

Since 1986 EAI International member firms have been offering a wide variety of services including audit, accounting, financial management, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, payroll, and local and international tax advice to both corporate and private clients.

EAI International’s purpose is to provide its members and their clients with easy access to qualified and independent full-service firms that are able to service their clients globally. 219
