Iran Press/ Iran news: In an interview with Al Jazeera, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on various issues, including the nuclear agreement and regional affairs.
Khatibzadeh initially addressed the issue of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action(JCPOA), saying that if Washington and European countries adhere to the terms of the Iran nuclear deal, they will reverse their Compensatory measures and there is no need to negotiate for the US to return to the nuclear deal.
He stressed that the diplomatic route is the best way to resolve the nuclear issue, and that Iran will respond appropriately to any practical initiative, and that it is the United States that must first return to the nuclear deal and then there would negotiation.
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said there has been no change in US policy, adding that it was the United States that had unilaterally violated the nuclear deal without negotiating with any country.
Khatibzadeh went on to address regional issues, referring to rocket attacks in Iraq, saying they were suspicious attacks and some signs indicate Israeli participation in that.
He then referred to the Yemeni war, saying that Iran hopes the Saudi government will end the siege of Yemen and the war against Yemenis; meanwhile, all countries, including Saudi Arabia, must work together to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the military aggression of the Saudi government and its allies as the root of the problem in Yemen, saying Tehran wants real regional dialogue and Saudi Arabia should not consider it as a threat. 219
