Baghdad (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister in a meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid in Baghdad discussed the latest development in Tehran-Baghdad ties.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the top Iranian diplomat arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

Amir-Abdollahian also met and held talks with the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein on Wednesday.

During the meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, Amir-Abdollahian called for the development of Iran-Iraq bilateral relations.

Other issues including border security and Iraq's debt to Iran were also among the topics discussed between Amir-Abdollahian and Rashid.

He said that Iran and Iraq relations are not limited to the two governments’ ties and considered the deep and close relationship between the two countries as another aspect of the relationship between the two nations.

The Iraqi president, for his part, described the relations between Iran and Iraq as comprehensive and deep.

Rashid also emphasized the determination of his country to develop relations with the Iranian side.
