Iran exports over 374 kiloton of cement to Afghanistan

Taybad (IP) - Director-General of Dogharoon Customs in Taybad city (northeastern Iran) said 374,861 tons of cement had been exported to Afghanistan.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad Kuhgard announced on Monday that 374,861 tons of cement had been exported to Afghanistan from Dogharoon customs in the past 10 months.

He noted that more than 90% of this amount had been sent to Herat, the second-largest economic market in Afghanistan.

He announced the most important export items as various construction materials and petroleum products, and stated that 550 trucks transit all kinds of goods to Afghanistan daily through Dogharoon customs, and the same number of trucks enter Iran daily from this country.

Dogharoon Special Economic Zone is located 18 km east of Taybad city on the Iran-Afghanistan border.

Dogharoon is the most important export border of Iran and the most important land border of Afghanistan for communication with the world, especially Europe and the Persian Gulf countries.

This border-crossing is one of the most important border-crossings in the world's important transit routes, including the North-South International Transport Corridor and Europe, Caucasus, and Asia Transport Corridor.
