Commentary:

Tehran (IP) - Iran is one of the greatest victims of terrorism in the world such that it has suffered 17,000 martyrs due to terrorist attacks.

Iran PressCommentary: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi said on Monday before leaving Tehran for Muscat that no doubt the arrogant powers and those who suffered a heavy defeat from the anti-ISIS campaign committed the crime.

Since the beginning days of the Islamic Revolution's victory when the plots of the world's arrogant powers against Iran were spoiled, the country has always been targeted by terrorists including the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

Only in 1983,  MKO claim the responsibility for assassinating 4,583 Iranian citizens.

In recent years, the United States and the Israeli regime have always sought to support terrorists in Iran and the region.

Military training of terrorist elements, and sending them shipments of light and semi-heavy weapons, communications equipment, and food through flights in the ISIS-controlled zones are just a scintilla of Washington's support for terrorists committed crimes against Iranian scientists and the Resistance Front's commanders.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Majid Shahriari, Masoud Ali-Mohammadi, Daryoush Rezaeinejad, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, and Raza Ghashghai were among the nuclear scientists who were assassinated by the agents of Israeli MOSSAD.

On January 3, 2020, the late Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, traveled to Iraq at the official invitation of the Iraqi authorities and was assassinated in an airstrike by the US forces at Baghdad Airport, along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Deputy Head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) and some of his comrades.

The enemies of the Iranian nation once again revealed their evil nature and assassinated an Iranian Commander Colonel Sayyad Khodai in Tehran on Sunday, shooting him dead with 5 bullets.

Through such terrorist attacks on the Iranian nation, the enemies seek to prevent the country's increasing influence and authority.

The Independent says that the recent terrorist attacks in Iran are part of an endless effort of the Israeli regime's intelligent services and their western counterparts like the UK's MI6 and the US' CIA to hinder or stop, if possible, Iran's progress of Nuclear program.

Although the Israeli authorities did not explicitly claim the responsibility for the assassination of Sayyad Khodai, his mission in the fight against ISIS in Syria is indicative of the fact the Israeli regime was the first accused of the crime.

Of course, the recent crime of the enemies of the Iranian nation will not go unanswered, and as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed revenge was inevitable.
