Iran Press/Middle East: Abbas Araqchi will meet his Iraqi counterpart, Nizar Kheirullah and other high ranking officials in Baghdad to discuss bilateral ties including formation of a two-state political committee.
Currently, the political and economic relations between Iran and Iraq are at an excellent level, and Iraq imports natural gas for its power plants from Iran, Iran Press reported.
Iran is Iraq's top trading partner, with the volume of Tehran-Baghdad trade reaching about $12 billion, according to Iraqi officials.
The two countries are working on the supply of Iranian natural gas to the Sadr neighborhood of Baghdad, and al-Mansuriya power plants through a 270-kilometer pipeline and to Basra near the Iranian border via a separate pipeline. 101/202/213
