Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Friday condemned the terrorist attack in a mosque in Kunduz, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic event.
He underscored that terrorist acts in any form, by any group, are condemned.
On Friday, a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in Afghanistan's northeastern Kunduz province, killing 46 people and wounding more than 140.
Video footage on Friday showed bodies surrounded by debris inside the Gozar-e-Sayed Abad Mosque used by people from the minority Shia Muslim community.
Dost Mohammad Obaida, the deputy police chief for Kunduz province, said at least 100 people were killed or wounded in the attack.
Witness accounts described a powerful explosion with many casualties. Mullah Rohani, a Taliban official in Kunduz, confirmed the death toll and said more than 140 were injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, but it came days after an attack by the ISIS terrorist group outside a mosque in Kabul, the capital, which killed several people.
