Iran Press/ Iran News: Following explosions in different parts of Afghanistan on Thursday, April 21, 2022, including Mazar-e-Sharif, scores of people were killed and injured.
Blasts also happened two days ago in two schools in the west of Kabul, leaving scores of people, including students, killed and wounded.
A blast happened in the district inside a Shia mosque where more than 50 were killed and injured.
The explosion at the Sai Doken mosque in northern Mazar-e-Sharif occurred as scores of worshippers knelt in prayer as Muslims mark the holy month of Ramzan.
The incident comes days after three explosions rocked a high school in western Kabul, killing at least six people and injuring children. Many residents in the neighborhood belong to the Shia Hazara community, an ethnic and religious minority frequently targeted by Sunni militant groups, including Islamic State.
The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the terrorist blast on Thursday and considered them, and also called the killing of fasting worshipers in Afghanistan a result of the disgusting terrorist acts.
Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed condolences to the victims' families and wished patience for them and cure for the wounded.
Security incidents, particularly terrorist blasts, have become a challenge for the Taliban that has failed to tackle them effectively and maintain security in Afghanistan.
