Iran Press/ Iran News: During the competition, underway in Beirut, Lebanon's capital, participating taekwondo athletes from 11 Asian countries, Ali Salmani, Amirreza Mehraban, and Marjan Salahshouri, three Poomsae contesters of the Iranian national Taekwondo team, won the runner-up title in Asia.
Arash Farhadian, Head of the Taekwondo national team said in an interview with Iran Press: "Iran's national men's and women's taekwondo teams with 40 athletes have participated in these competitions."
He added: "Iran's national team is in good condition mentally and physically and will fight with strength against opponents."
Arash Farhadian said: "In the composition of the expedition team, Iranian national Olympic and Paralympic taekwondo athletes are also present and will go to the field to get more preparation for the Tokyo Olympics."
The Asian Taekwondo Championships will be held in Beirut for five days in three sections of Poomsae, Para Taekwando, and Kyorugi.
Poomsae requires flexibility, agility, balance, power, and grace, and is an excellent exercise regime as well as a competitive event.
Poomsae is one of the world’s most accessible sports and does not require athletes to be in the same location.
