Iran's national Para Powerlifting team with 7 members snatched 11 colorful medals, including 9 gold and 2 bronze, in the World Cup in the UAE.

Iran PressMiddle East: The 2022 Para Powerlifting World Cup, hosted by the UAE, started on Thursday 15 December and ended on Saturday 17 December.

In the competitions on Saturday (December 26), Ahmad Aminzadeh, the Iranian champion in the category of 107 kg, went on the stage. 

In his first move, he was able to handle 250 kg of weight and in the second movement, he lifted 257 kg. Aminzadeh managed to control the weight of 265 kg in his third move and won the gold medal and the championship title. The representative of Iran also won the overall gold medal for best athlete in the competitions.

Mehdi Sayadi, another national player of Iran in this weight category, managed to lift 233 kg in the first move and 238 kg in the second move. In the third movement, he failed to hold the weight of 242 kg. He won a bronze medal.
