Tehran (IP) - The Armenian Ambassador to Iran and the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister discussed the recent agreement between Yerevan, Moscow, and Baku to end the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

Iran PressIran News: The Armenian Embassy in Tehran in a statement noted that the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Tehran Artashes Tumanyan met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, Tumanyan discussed with Araghchi the latest developments and the situation in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh after accepting the tripartite statement of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.

The two sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and related processes in the post-war period, the participation of regional and trans-regional forces, and their possible future plan.

According to the statement, the two sides reaffirmed the need to maintain and strengthen a permanent relationship between the two countries and hold consultative meetings between government institutions and the community.
